For over 40 years, the Academy Award®-winning studio has entertained and charmed the world with characters like Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. After collaborating on last year’s Red Nose Day range, we couldn’t wait to team up again!
We first collaborated with British artist and author Charlie Mackesy for Red Nose Day 2021. His international bestseller, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, is treasured by children and adults alike.
From Mickey Mouse to Buzz Lightyear, Disney is known for dreaming up unforgettable characters and magical stories. We collaborated with Disney for Red Nose Day 2019 and again for our Disney Pixar chari-tees in 2021.
The colourful books by Roger Hargreaves have been spreading smiles for over 50 years. This year we welcome back Little Miss Sunshine from our Red Nose Day 2023 range, along with Mr. Strong, Mr. Cool and Little Miss Hug.
A British pop art legend, Peter Blake has designed iconic album covers for bands like The Beatles and The Who. We collaborated with Peter Blake for Red Nose Day 2019 and are thrilled to have him back on board!
A joyful British lettering artist, Rachel brings words to life through playful forms and bold colours. Rachel was part of our Red Nose Day 2022 range, when we joined forces with 11 awesome artists.
The rule-breaking British photographer, publisher, and director has snapped everyone from Kate Moss to the royal family. Inspired by his love of animals, Rankin originally designed his playful chari-tees for Red Nose Day 2017.
Meet Amir
Amir has been supported by and is now a Young Leader with Safe Passage International, an organisation funded by Comic Relief. Safe Passage International help refugees access safe routes to sanctuary through legal work, campaigning and advocacy.
Amir was born in Iran but grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is a budding photographer, runner and guitar player who is very close to his family.
When Kabul fell, his family was targeted and Amir was beaten by the Taliban for trying to document what was happening. He went to the airport and, amidst the chaos, was evacuated to England. His parents and sister remain in Kabul and he misses them dearly.
"If I’m here, if I can talk here today, it’s all thanks to my mother. And my father is like a mountain behind me. Every day I call them. I tell them I’m continuing my life and doing more with Safe Passage and Comic Relief, and it makes me feel better."
£3 could help families receive healthy, affordable food from a community hub.
£5.50 could enable a young person to attend a group support session, so that they don't need to face their struggles alone.
£20 could provide two food vouchers for vulnerable young refugees facing hardship.
All of the cotton in our Red Nose Day totes, pouches and aprons is Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers. Visit www.info.fairtrade.net
The Ugandan cotton is grown using only rainwater and is sourced from the Rwenzori Farmers Marketing Co-operative Society. The co-operative is made up of over 500 farmers in Western Uganda who have been supported by TK Maxx since 2012 to grow top quality cotton, raise their incomes and send their children to school. It was certified to trade as Fairtrade in 2014, and remains the only Fairtrade cotton producer in East Africa.
